About the book

Film adaptation is an emerging area in literary research though its origin goes back to the origin of the film itself. The same fiction adapted into film differently in different times in different countries proves adaptation has already assumed the shape of a literary form. The universal approach to adaptation in addition and deletion of plots and characters for the suitability of the audience has been accepted as an art. The fiction may freely portray anything the writer likes but when it is carved out as the script, a lot of artist like director, producers and the script writers get involved. This text is designed studying the film adaptation of the writings of Chetan Bhagat, Vikas Swarup and Sanjaya Baru.
