About the book

This book is a vibrant tapestry that brings alive the rich history, cultural intersections, and colonial legacies of South India, particularly focusing on Pondicherry and its surroundings. From ancient marvels like Kallanai and Arikamedu to colonial landmarks such as Gingee Fort and the French War Memorial, it captures a broad sweep of time and influence. The narratives not only highlight French contributions but also celebrate India's deep-rooted traditions, architectural wonders, and maritime heritage.
