Approaches to Childhood

This book brings together certain critical perspectives about the fictional representations of childhood. These perspectives do not necessarily converge. In fact, since the aim of this book is to contribute to the existing discussions and explorations of childhood in various fictional and creative representations, variations in approaches by the contributors help understand different aspects pertaining to childhood. The anthology in a way suggests that as there are different childhoods it is imperative to have multiple approaches. In examining various narrations about childhood, this endeavour offers newer perspectives to the creative texts about children. This anthology will not only help discuss and understand childhood-related issues but will seek that they are prioritized in all the adult-dominated domains.
