In this paper I focus on the various developing trends of the Indian English literature and the other regional literatures of India in regard to the representation of the marginalized classes and individuals of the country. This paper also refers to the literary works of the writers belonging to these marginalized sections, writing both in English and regional languages (Bhasa literatures), that provide a voice to the marginal in the postcolonial Indian society
