Abstract
Indian feminists try to break the patriarchal images of women, the images of goddess Sita, Kunti etc. they try to prove this fact that age-old customs should be changed. Despite the longstanding and vigorous women's movement, patriarchy remains deeply entrenched in India. Western feminists can never explain the pain of marginalized, dominated and exploited Eastern females
