Biography
Dr. Ram Binod Ray is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hindi, Central University of Kerala, where he has been working since 5 January 2016. Prior to joining the Central University of Kerala, he served as a faculty member at Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, University of Delhi, from 2012 to 2016. Dr. Ray possesses academic qualifications including M.A. in Hindi, M.A. in Mass Communication, M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Hindi, UGC-NET in Hindi, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Translation. His academic and research interests encompass Media, Translation, Language, and various social issues and contemporary problems. He has published 38 research papers and scholarly articles in various national and international journals and research publications, including Anuwad, Gaweshana, Shodh Disha, Shodh Sarovar Patrika, Himanjali, Samsamayik Srijan, Alochna Drishti, Sanvad Path (UGC-CARE listed), International Journal of Humanities and Social Science Research, Shodhpatra, and International Journal of Science and Humanities, among others. Under his supervision and guidance, three research scholars have been awarded Ph.D. degrees. He has also been actively involved in various academic and administrative responsibilities at the university. His academic responsibilities have included question-paper setting, invigilation, evaluation, examination-related duties, PG and Ph.D. Admission Committees, Faculty Council Secretary, member of the Doctoral Research Committee and Doctoral Committee, member of the NAAC Committee, PG viva-voce examinations, and organization of semester-wise open presentations of Ph.D. scholars during the period 2016–2026. He has also served in an administrative capacity as a Hostel Warden. Dr. Ray has actively contributed to the organization of academic and co-curricular activities as Coordinator and Co-Coordinator of International and National Seminars, Hindi Pakhwada, Hindi Parishad, PG Diploma Course in Hindi Journalism and Mass Communication, and educational/industrial tours. He has also conducted classes for the Certificate Course for CUK employees, presented research papers in departmental academic programmes, and participated as a Guest Faculty/Guest Expert in the PG and Ph.D. Boards of Studies. Through his teaching, research, academic administration, and organizational activities, Dr. Ray has made a sustained contribution to the development of Hindi language, literature, media studies, translation, and interdisciplinary academic engagement.
