Within My Dreams (Poems)

Kashinath Karmakar (kash poet) lives in Durgapur, India. An electrical engineer by profession he fell in love with poetry from his very childhood. He started writing poems in his mother tongue, Bengali from his school days. Later in the year 2010 he started writing poetry in English when he found an online poetry site called Poetrysoup. Here he learnt many forms of English poetry. His works on Japanese short poetry have appeared in various online and print journals like Frogpond, Tinywords, The Heron's Nest, Prune Juice and Creatrix. In the year 2013 and 2015he won third prize in Kusamakura International Haiku contest and an HM in 2013 in the Mainichi International Haiku Contest. Over the years, he has been consistently among the top-place holders in several international contests.
