About the book

‘Treta’ is a much talked about epic of Udbhrant ji in which the social, economic, religious and family life of the women of the Treta Yuga of Ram and Ravana’s family has been described in a sublime poetic form. This epic is a unique example of various literary concepts of the great masters of Sanskrit. In the words of Dinesh Kumar Mali – “It took me more than two years to work on ‘Treta’. It was not easy to write a book of criticism on this huge epic. For this, I had to study the books of previous critics as well, which include Dr. Anand Prakash Dixit’s ‘Treta: Ek Antaryatra’, Kanwal Bharti’s ‘Treta-Vimarsh aur Dalit-Chintan’ etc.
