About the book

Vailoppilli on himself: I got attracted towards literature from my young age, at around the age of twelve. I remember the pleasant feeling I used to have on reading, particularly poetry. Though I scribbled some tit-bits from the age of twelve I am not able to trace them. It was while reading for my bachelor degree (1929/30) that I took writing poetry seriously. If I can count on anything as my achievement in life it is only the poetry that I wrote. Looking back I often feel a little sad that I could not or rather I did not focus a little more on my poetry; today (1984) I wish ‘If only I could. ’
