Reminiscences

The book You Are Sold offers an insightful account of the author's role in combating female exploitation and other forms of societal injustice. Through a series of compelling stories, the author sheds light on the liberation of people from superstition, drug abuse, political corruption, and various other social evils. The book also presents a critical analysis of the roles played by individuals and institutions in shaping society, highlighting both the positive contributions and the failures that have influenced the moral fabric of the community. After the success of his previous two books Kashmir Intifada (Gulshan Books, Residency Road, Srinagar) and Guns Under My Chinar (Rupa Publications, New Delhi). A.M. Watali now brings forth a powerful collection of short stories in You Are Sold. This new work carries a universal message that resonates not only within Jammu & Kashmir but across the entire country, particularly for the police forces and those involved in law enforcement and public service.
