Poems of Fear and Songs of Hope

The present collection of poems is a culmination of an incipient thought that emerged in 1968 while teaching at Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, with his poem “Modern Age” that was composed at the request of the editor of ‘Kritya.’ Though the topic of ‘fear’ and ‘hope’ remained dormant for over a half century, it gained urgency and momentum after being a victim of Covid-19 during his fragile retirement. The introduction further throws light on this universal thought and experience which concludes with a discourse on ‘fear’ and meditation on ‘hope’ in prose.
