Mapping Gender

The complexities of gender have become a pressing concern in today's world, permeating every aspect of our lives, from personal identities to global politics. The growing recognition of gender as a fundamental aspect of human experience has led to a surge in interdisciplinary research and dialogue. This book, "Mapping Gender: Interdisciplinary pathways to understanding the World" is a culmination of scholarly efforts to understand and address the multifaceted nature of gender. Through critical essays, empirical research, and theoretical interventions, this book aims to challenge dominant narratives and offer new insights into the workings of gender. There are 21 well researched papers in this book written by university/college professors, professional writers and research scholars. About the Editors Prof. Dr. K. V. Dominic, English poet, critic, short story writer and editor has authored/edited 53 books including 14 collections of poems—eight in English and one each in Hindi, Bengali, French, Tamil, Gujarati and Malayalam (Translations by renowned writers) and 8 books of short stories—four in English and one each in Hindi, Malayalam, Bengali and French (Translations). There are five critical books on his poetry and one on his short stories. He is the Secretary of Guild of Indian English Writers, Editors and Critics (GIEWEC), and Chief Editor of the international peer reviewed biannual research journals Writers Editors Critics (WEC) and International Journal on Multicultural Literature (IJML). He is a former Associate Professor of the PG and Research Department of English, Newman College, Thodupuzha, Kerala, India. PhD researches have been done on his poetry. Bala Agarwal is the Associate Professor of English in the Postgraduate Department of English, Quaid-E-Millath Government Women's College, Chennai, India.
