In the Shadow of Almond Tree (Poems)

This book contains nearly all poems of the author, which have been translated from German into English until now. It leads us into a world full of poetry but also full of irony. The poems unmask the zeitgeist and question our time. They make visible the currents of time and show how the waves drift away from our current position. Could we really know where the ship will drift and where it could land one day? And the waterfall? How far is the waterfall away from us? Will the crew recognize timely the danger on the radar screen while the music plays to dance? The poet wants to show us how everything is connected and how word and reality diverge. Kurt F. Svatek’s poems are simply a mirror of our time and also ourselves.
