Forever is a Fake Word (A Collection of Poems)

“Augustine Joseph's poems are mostly monologic even while the unseen presence of a woman lends them a sense of drama. The central theme is love: love of every kind, driven by desire or despair, yearning or separation. But love in most cases is but an occasion to build other thoughts and emotions around it, reflecting the kind of world we live in with its embarrassments and frustrations. These are not complex poems; there is hardly any riddle to solve even while they are informed by the paradoxes of human existence and inspired by a longing to make the world more humane and habitable.” --- K.
