Devouring Time (Poems)

Rupesh Singh must be feeling contented like a fruit-laden tree in its first season. Devouring Time may be his fourth collection of poems to be published, yet it clearly belongs to the poet’s first fertility. It has the passion, the profusion, the urgency and the sweep that characterise such a season. One is reminded of the young German Romantics’ early attempts at writing, which has a certain innocent audacity and youthful brilliance that had to necessarily precede their maturer work.
