Crossing the River (Poems)

There is raw power in Chandini Santosh’s poems which seems to come from a deep, solitary anguish, a love for the natural and the wild, and a longing to go beyond the lyrical into the narrative mode, without, at the same time, losing the fragile beauty of the lyrical. She has a way of mixing the mythical with the everyday and transforming memories into images that haunt the reader for long. –K. Satchidanandan
