About the book
The volume Cosmopolitan Thought and the Displaced tries to offer the theoretical lineage of the Cosmopolitan theories as proposing an ethical and political framework to accommodate the displaced /the refugees /the migrants. The volume makes the theoretical understanding of Cosmopolitanism from the major angles to stand in dialogue with the stories of displacement discussed in the volume from exceptional contexts and lifeworlds of the exiled communities. Papers in the volume also attempt to highlight or imply the deeper links between the Cosmopolitan theories and the state of the displaced with phenomenological and critical enquiry into the idea of displacement.
