About the book
Spiced up with ready wit, gentle humour and biting satire, this composite novel in sixteen episodes narrates the story of a featureless village limping along towards a complete transformation through the hurly-burly of political debate. A portrait-gallery of characters of all hues, it creates a new realm of understanding politics and political leadership and their operational strategies in a society wriggling under ignorance, poverty and dogmatism. Set against the backdrop of rural life, it sings the glory of human courage, conviction and compassion. This book deservers a place in your bookshelf as well as in your heart.
