About the book

“People are amazed when the divine Magician shows His tricks, but it seems I am sometimes more amazed than people around me. I thrill at them. I ponder over them. My mind is jammed up with many ideas. As a result, my observations apart from filling me with a sense of wonder make me restless by their intensity and multiplicity. Like a self-employed private detective, I am always on the look-out for a clue. I deliberately disbelieve the scientific explanations offered for the formation of snowflakes, Aurora Borealis, clouds, weirdness of the quantum world, tilting of the Earth precariously in space and many other natural phenomena that seem to be carefully and artistically made. When something artificial looks natural, I admire and pass on; but when something natural appears artificial, I am stuck.I feel a divine Being has created each of them with care for the appreciation and convenience of mankind in particular and other creatures for general. Millions of zebras, buffaloes and other grass-eating, leaf-eating mammals are made to travel thousands of miles in search of pastures crossing many water bodies on their way so that the crocodiles dwelling in remote ponds would get their annual ration.” From this candid confession, we may form an idea of the person who is engaged in a protracted dialogue with Life on the nature of reality and on many life-related problems that stare mankind in the face but have not yet been resolved without having recourse to a number of unverifiable truth-claims such as, thecaringCreator, the invinciblegoddess of Illusion (Maya), the immortality and divinity of souls, etc.Interestingly, the author tries to set up a kind of Metaphysical Model a la the Standard Model of Physics, based on the Vedanta to arrive at a tentative resolution. His aim is to arrive, but the book is all about the journey.
